Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.
This module develops from the principles of rehabilitation introduced at Level 5. You will investigate how concepts of strength and conditioning influence rehabilitation and are used to safely return the athlete to sport / activity. You will learn how to work with patients in an individual and group rehabilitation setting, developing on the ideas of inclusive, evidenced based rehabilitation introduced in Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
Along-side this you will study and discuss the implantation of common nutritional strategies used in the support and rehabilitation of athletes.

The return-to-play programme should consider the sport specific demands in terms of physiology, psychology, nutrition and conditioning.
Assessment 001 – Students will present their return to play session for either the individual athlete or a group training session.
