Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.
This module aims to draw together learning from physiology, psychology and nutrition. It will explore how applying this learning to roles within physical activity and nutrition impacts health and wellbeing. You will make links between assessing clients in order to obtain a full needs analysis and producing interventions covering novel training methods, long-term behaviour change principles of training for adults, as well as introduce core concepts from the role of public health nutritionists in the development of initiatives to address health issues such as diet and cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes mellitus. You will do this through producing responses to case studies and problem-based learning.
