SHN5033 - Integrated Coaching and Assessment of Performance

Objectives:

Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.

Content:

In this module you will take a multidisciplinary approach to assessing the requirements of a sport and the associated needs of an athlete from a psychological, physiological, and biomechanical standpoint. This will comprise both laboratory-based and field-based testing practices, prompting considerations of feasibility, validity, and reliability of such measures.

With consideration of the data available, theoretically, and empirically informed coaching activities will be researched, planned, and delivered to improve the performance of the athlete.
