This module will cover more detailed musculoskeletal anatomy and answer the question “What is a sports injury?” The module will cover micro and macro trauma and injuries to muscle, tendons, bones, cartilage and nerves. The content will also introduce the student to the stages of tissue healing and repair. The BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation students will be practically assessed for the Anatomy component of the module (assessment 2). PSRB requirements state that safe and effective practice must be demonstrated and practical components passed.
