Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.
This module builds upon and extends the development of professional skills in psychology, from Level 4, within individual difference psychology and professional working practices.
At Level 5 conceptual and historical issues in individual difference psychology are introduced to students with respect to intelligence and the assessment of human psychology, including issues of equality, diversity and social justice.
The module helps to prepare the student with the kinds of skills that are valued by employers, and as such embedded within the module is work-based experience completed throughout semesters one and two or at the end of the year.
The module also includes an introduction to the concept of professional learning through work and approaches to scoping out and sourcing projects, including with employers, professional bodies, linked to civic or community challenges or student identified skills development which students identify for themselves.
Personal development is supported by personal tutoring meetings, which are designed to give more personal support and professional skill development for students.
