Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.
This module provides students with a foundation in professional development skills in psychology that include individual difference psychology and professional working practices. Conceptual and historical issues in psychology, including international and cultural perspectives will be addressed throughout, covering the role of psychology in understanding issues of diversity in the workplace. The LTU mission, vision and values will be introduced and will underpin aspects of equality and diversity.
At Level 4 individual difference psychology is introduced to students with respect to personality and the assessment of human psychology.
The module helps to prepare the student with the kinds of skills that are valued by employers, and as such embedded within the module is a Professional Development Block at the end of the year. Personal development is supported by bi-weekly timetabled personal tutoring meetings, which are designed to give more personal support and professional skill development for students.
