Further details relating to assessment
The assessment in this module is designed to ensure appropriate coverage of the core domains of psychology as determined by the British Psychological Society to support students’ progression to studying the core domains in greater depth at Level 5. The two written assignments draw on the workshops that contextualise the core domain approaches to the individual programmes. Formative assessment will take place in taught sessions and online through the use of summary questions to check the development of understanding. The end of year Capstone Assessment will draw upon the whole level’s learning (including Research Methods, Individual Differences, Professional Skills, and the Core Domains) to explain how psychology helps us to understand human behaviour in the context of the programme, again ensuring sufficient coverage of all of the core domains and their interrelationships to underpin study at Level 5.
