You will be taught and supervised in accordance with your individual learning needs, proficiency, and confidence. Reflection will inform your on-going professional development and learning via your MYEPAD e-portfolio. Continuous assessment is an integral aspect of learning and teaching in practice, and you are expected to show evidence of consistent achievement during the placement. You will work with and receive written and verbal feedback from a range of staff including practice supervisors, practice assessors and academic assessors. You are required to reflect on your developing knowledge and practice. Practice assessment is structured and recorded within your MYEPAD. You will meet with your practice assessor and supervisor at the start, mid-point, and final week of placements to discuss your individual learning needs and progress. A learning plan will be agreed and must be recorded in the MYEPAD at these points. Your practice assessor/supervisor and academic assessor will support and guide you towards successfully achieving the criteria set out in the Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses and Standards for Education and Training (NMC 2018).
