Work-based projects are unique in their content because their rationale, aims and objectives are drawn up by student apprentice as part of the ‘Learning Agreement’, produced in the first module; this agreement plans their whole programme and is agreed and signed by their employer.
Work-based projects are located in the student apprentice’s workplace, and relate directly to their job role and work activities. The content and scope of the projects are also subject to an official ‘project proposal’ which is created in module Advancing Your Portfolio Toward End Point Assessment (EPA).
Apprentices studying for the BA (Hons.) Professional Practice in Digital Marketing will undertake this particular project in order to complete their degree, their apprenticeship and fulfil all of the requirements of the degree apprenticeship standard’s assessment plan.
Typically delivered on a blended learning basis with a combination of workshops and on-line tutorial.

Further details relating to assessment
The assessment for this module contributes to the Honours classification for the degree and is the End-Point Assessment of the integrated Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship and will therefore be conducted under the rules determined in the IFATE Apprenticeship Standard Assessment Plan.
The University’s categorical marking scheme will be used to mark the project report and presentation individually and combined to inform the grading of the apprenticeship. For your degree, separate numerical marks for the project report and presentation will be aggregated: the pass mark for the module is 40% in line with University regulations. The Interview must achieve a minimum of pass to be awarded the degree.
The project report, presentation and interview form the final End-Point Assessment and will be assessed by an Independent Assessor / EPA Panel and graded fail, pass, merit or distinction. The overall apprenticeship grade is calculated by converting the assessment of each method into grades according to the following sumary, which takes into account that Part 1: the report and presentation is given a higher weighting.
Part 1 (report and presentation) grade - fail; Part 2 (interview) grade - fail; overall grade = fail.
