Further details relating to assessment
Assignment 1: Script
In groups, students will complete a draft script of 3,000 words focusing on the topics covered in the module. In addition to submitting the script group will give a 10 minute Presentation (making reference to the Theory in Practice Model or Practice Research methods) as their critical reflection on the practice.

Assignment 2: Screen
The Artefact will comprise a 5-minute short film produced to relevant specifications, designed to test and develop students’ skills in technique and analysis.

Formative assessment will take the form of a rough-and-ready short film story (max-2 minutes) completed within the first 4 weeks. This will clarify what is expected in terms of the linkage between concepts and film technique, as well as the standards and expectations of the final product. The first assessment at pass/fail also enables formative feedback.
