Further details relating to assessment
The summative assessment for this module is twofold. The first assessment consists of a professional challenge or short placement which must be completed and is assessed on a pass/fail basis. The second assessment, which makes up 100% of the module mark, consists of a portfolio. Students will construct a portfolio over the course of the module for submission at the end. To support the portfolio, there will be formative submission points in Semester 1 and in Semester 2. The portfolio must include a Reflective Statement on the professional challenge or short placement undertaken. A detailed assessment brief includes instructions about what to include and how to present and submit the portfolio. Formative assessment opportunities are built into the module throughout.
This module supports the integrated assessment occurring at the end of Level 4 and develops the skills required to complete the integrated assessments in LAW4053 Public Law and in BMM4153. This will give the students an opportunity throughout the year to develop a holistic perspective on the programme level learning outcomes and their own development.
Assessment Component 001 Professional Challenge Project/ Work Placement must be passed in line with University requirements.
Further details of assessment are available in the Assessment Handbook for your programme and in Assessment Briefs provided by Module Tutors.
