Further details relating to assessment
Portfolio: consists of employee appraisal forms for three weeks of placements; online portfolio/showreel; employability pack.

The Employer Appraisal Form requires the host organisation to rate the student on a six-point scale from A (an excellent contribution) to F (a very unsatisfactory contribution). Grades A–D constitute a pass, grades E and F are recorded as fails.

Students should complete their preparation for industry by compiling for example an online journalism portfolio (minimum of 10 stories) or a showreel (2 to 3 mins).

Portfolio ‘employability pack’ is made up of participating in and generating content for the University’s Career Passport scheme; creating an online CV with active links and compiling a personal and bespoke employability brand/professional network across relevant social platforms including LinkedIn, twitter, indeed and Instagram.

Please see Module Handbook for full details.
