FDA5043 - Risks, Rights and Social Justice in a Sustainable Society

Objectives:

Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.

Content:

This module engages you in the contemporary debates surrounding risk and rights for children and families, and the responsibilities of professionals and communities in a sustainable world. Recent documentation such as national policy, standards, local initiatives, interventions or approaches developed through voluntary sectors will be identified, examined and critiqued. This module could focus on an inter/national issue being challenged within a professional context, setting or community to uphold aspects of rights, or support social justice.
