FDA5013 - Reflecting on Research Informed Practice

Objectives:

Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.

Content:

This module begins with a critical reflection on your Foundation Degree journey, revisiting debates about values and roles, exploring significant topics and considering your future professional career. Emerging from this reflection, an area of practice or personal interest will be explored in more depth through the examination of recent research. This module will discuss research methods and methodologies, supporting you to develop a critical understanding of the practical, ethical and theoretical issues that can be involved in undertaking research within the context of children, young people, families and communities.
