FDA4033 - Healthy Teams Supporting Healthy Children, Families

Objectives:

Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.

Content:

Within modern society health can take many forms; mental health, physical health, nutritional health, medical health, technological health, for example. This module enables you to explore how health and wellbeing is prioritised and supported within a chosen professional context. By working in groups you will explore existing projects that support an aspect of health. You will identify how children, families and/or communities are influenced by features of modern life, and how healthy professional teams can be fostered, including what makes positive outcomes harder to achieve.

Further details relating to assessment
The group presentation will be delivered towards the end of the block, with a copy uploaded before the end of block. It will outline the features of an existing health related project. The individual element will include some reflection of the work of health professionals. The submission of the individual reflection is due end of Block 3.

Students will have opportunities for formative assessment across the year to guide and inform their preparation.

Assessment:

001 Group presentation with individual reflection; 5,000 words; end of block 3 %
