On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 - Understand the taught models and techniques of teamwork and self-development;
2 - Demonstrate effective teamworking, presentation and communication skills across physical and digital platforms; and,
3 - Demonstrate a range of soft graduate skills.
This module helps you to develop graduate skills, which the creative industries value, and results in good professionals with an industry relevant work ethic and enquiring minds and who are engaged in the world around them. The Graduate Attributes identified by the University form the core experience and development for you. It is intended that activities be ‘badged’, so that you can identify the value in each and relate activity and experience and feed this into a career passport.
Learning and teaching methods on this module are designed to reflect and develop the every day workplace skills needed in the creative sector – and, in particular, team and confidence building skills which link to the graduate skills and the career passport.

Further Details Relating to Assessment
Team Presentation sees students creatively address a team brief to demonstrate active understanding of the structure and dynamics of working within a team. A team experience event will be given and the students can then reflect not only on their development in class team tasks but on how that culminates in the final experience event. It is expected that students present as a team, with dialogue and interaction, as well as supply appropriate visuals and handouts. It is assumed that this be pre-recorded.
Individual Presentation sees you individually assessed on a limited presentation. You will demonstrate confidence, communication skills, initiative and organisation to present a limited (pecha kucha style) personal ‘story telling’ experience. This will be live in front of the markers but not the class.
Formative feedback is given at every stage of the learning journey.
