The module will address the barriers to learning, participation and achievement for pupils with communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning needs, those with social, mental and emotional health needs and pupils with sensory or physical needs in practice. Strategies to improve outcomes for learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities will be addressed by drawing on evidence-based practice. This module will focus on the practice of being a SENCo working with children, families and staff.
