JOU6003 - Final Project

Objectives:

Assessment tasks are designed to enable students to demonstrate the Learning and Employability outcomes for the relevant level of study. Level Learning Outcomes are embedded in the assessment task(s) at that level. This enables a more integrated view of overall student performance at each level.

Content:

This module consolidates the skills from the programme in the production of a final project which comprises the proposal and the portfolio. There are three routes available to students for their final project:

1) A research dissertation
2) A work-based learning project with a portfolio
3) An artefact with a portfolio.

All routes involve detailed research and the production of portfolio in conjunction with University supervision and relevant sources/experts/work partner/industry professionals.

Further details relating to assessment
Students will be supported in using feedback from Level 5 work as formative feedback to help develop the proposal. This will inform student preparation and help reinforce reference to the University grading system.

The professional graduate work interview measures the capacity to communicate within a realistic work context the skills and achievements in the portfolio.

Further details will be included in the module handbook in relation to the contents of the portfolio.
