On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
Devise an innovative photographic project that builds upon and synthesises knowledge, techniques, and skills acquired in earlier modules;
Execute the project to pre-negotiated standards, engaging with ongoing feedback provided by project commissioners and editors;
Produce written evaluations of professional and academic employability experience as part of a team.
Learning and teaching takes place in collaboration with Level 6 students MFC 6182 Collaborative Project 3. The Level 6 students pitch for work from external clients and then commission and edit the work produced to that brief by students on this module. The students on this module must develop ways of satisfying the given brief and produce work that matches its requirements. The Level 6 students will oversee, appraise and provide editorial feedback on that work.
Module tutors help set up and oversee the project through a series of workshops but the main learning and teaching is achieved through the interaction and collaboration of students on this module and on its partner, MFC 6012 Collaborative Project 3.

Further details relating to assessment
Portfolio: students will submit the work they contributed to the project in the form of a portfolio. This work will vary in nature and format according to the brief given to the students. It will be assessed according to the extent to which it matches professional standards, but also the extent of the creativity and ingenuity applied to the task.
Project report: this will include a short reflective study of the professional skills (both in photographic practice and in working to a brief), and finally a prospective analysis of how behaviour and theory might be better aligned in future.
