In this module students will typically:
Read and discuss a range of research in education from a range of research traditions including qualitative, quantitative, action research, ethnographical, etc
Identify strengths and weaknesses in the traditions chosen
Critically evaluate case studies; research reports; statistics, etc. and the use to which they are put
Debate issues of current interest in primary education
Gain a good understanding of action research and its application to the classroom
Develop an area of personal interest and begin to consider how to engage in research of their own practice in this area
