On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 demonstrate knowledge and understanding of psychological factors relating to health behaviours, e.g. self esteem, peer pressure, locus of control and theories of behaviour change
2 evaluate school and community health promotion initiatives
3 identify resources available to support health promotion in schools
4 plan, implement and evaluate a health event

Health promotion initiatives, e.g. Active Playgrounds, ‘Watch it’, ‘Cool Dudes’.
Curriculum resources, e.g. DfES ‘Wired for Health’, BNF Healthy Schools, PSHCE materials.
