On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 Demonstrate understanding of the aims and content of swimming taught in school across the key stages.
2 Write a clear statement of progression and set appropriate targets for a unit of work.
3 Plan and construct progressive swimming lessons with clear learning objectives, learning activities, teaching points, safety issues, progressive targets.
Observe performance and give corrective feedback.
4 Understand and demonstrate the principles of differentiation and progression in the teaching of swimming.
5 demonstrate knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relating to the teaching of swimming.
