On successful completion of the module students will be able to:
(1) demonstrate an awareness of a range of qualitative research techniques;
(2) demonstrate knowledge of appropriate methodological applications across a range of research situations;
(3) design a small-scale research project;
(4) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the relationships between fitness, physical activity and health;
(5) evaluate the epidemiological evidence linking coronary heart disease and physical activity;
(6) appraise the contributions of fitness assessment and exercise prescription to health.
