On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 - Develop a comprehensive and contemporary understanding of industry standard Digital Content Creation;
2 - Learn the advanced practical skills needed to thrive in the creative industries;
3 - Build up an impressive portfolio of digital content creation work; and,
4 - Devise, plan and produce live studio content to a high technical standard.
In this module you will develop a comprehensive and contemporary understanding of Digital Content Creation as you are guided through the whole digital content creation process, from research into content creators, audiences and the market, idea generation and digital content production. You will also explore advanced video production techniques, including using AI, to enhance your storytelling skills and produce content in the studio.
Lectures in Semester 1 will inform you into digital content creation, from research into top content creators, audiences and the market, to hands on practical sessions using the latest content creation software. Semester 2 concentrates on studio production. The first 5 weeks involve the research, development and planning of a weekly live studio show. During these weeks you will devise a show theme, create the YouTube channel for broadcast, and plan filming, For the next five weeks, each week you will produce a live show. During the live shows you will also measure the impact of the content produced. The delivery method will include lectures, related practical exercises and workshops with seminar elements.

Case Study You individually produce a case study into a content creator featured in Semester 1. This can take the form of a 5-minute video essay or using content creation software that featured in Semester 1.
Live Studio Shows Students work as a group to produce short, live studio-based shows and the best artefact is awarded a mark. Formative feedback will be given after each show.
Early Assessment There will be a formative assessment within the first 4 weeks and this will help unpack the assignment details for the 1st assignment as well as guide and inform student preparation and help introduce the University grading criteria.
