Further details relating to assessment
Research: A research file underpinning and framing the primary and secondary research elements, with the overarching ideas and reflections, contexts, practical and technical elements required in the development of the photographic portfolio (submission via a Word.doc file) and in support of the submitted photographic portfolio. This will form a basis for further study, and support and inform the idea development in Semester 2.

Portfolio: comprising related photographs (15 images), plus a supporting statement of 500 words, which underpins and frames the photographs contextually. The images will be thematic, technically proficient and presented to a professional standard (submission via photographic print or digital file).

Early Assessment: there will be a formative assessment within the first 4 weeks and this will help unpack the assignment details for the 1st assignment as well as guide and inform student preparation and help introduce the University grading system.
