On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
Reflect on their experience in order to identify and select knowledge gained from formal and informal learning, especially learning from and for work
Analyse and evaluate personal work-based learning to date
Demonstrate the ability to present the learning claimed clearly and coherently
Evidence their learning achievements and the connections between these
Take responsibility for planning a programme of learning which is academically coherent and appropriate to their job role
Students will use this module to map the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) stipulated in their Apprenticeship Standard against the learning outcomes of their degree programme. They will collate evidence of this learning within their E. Portfolio and make connections between the apprenticeship, the degree and their job role; ensuring that the apprenticeship standard is being fully addressed.
Students are encouraged to reflect on their learning and progression in order to focus on, track and plan the next stage of the programme. Gap analysis techniques are used to facilitate this and the Individual Learning Agreement written at Level 4 will be revisited.
Typically delivered on a blended learning basis with a combination of workshops and on-line support.

Further details relating to assessment
Apprentices will undertake exercises and activities to establish what they have already learned, how to evidence this and what they need to learn next. Apprentices will be expected to reflect on the work-place progress reviews and note the success and progress achieved against set objectives at these by their work-place mentor and university tutor. These activities do not form part of the formal assessment but are essential in order to facilitate the apprentice’s successful navigation of the module. Formative feedback will be offered for these activities as the E-Portfolio is further developed.
Learning Journal entries must demonstrate critical reflection and be capable of evidencing learning towards the KSBs of the apprenticeship.
