Further details relating to assessment
Formative assessment will take place throughout module. This could take the form of seminar discussions with peers and facilitator and practical delivery of exercise techniques to receive peer and tutor feedback. Directed activities can be used as a form of formative assessment and it is recommended that they relate to the summative component of assessment.
Practical Assessment will afford the students an opportunity to experience assessments using a similar approach to those used in professional accreditation via the UKSCA. A combination of demonstrations of techniques and responses to questions is used and student will also need to demonstrate an awareness of Health and Safety.
Portfolio requires students to demonstrate an awareness of key coaching points in exercise as well as an ability to design appropriate training sessions for strength and conditioning.
