This module involves a number of set workshop sessions and independent study/work, which will be supported by the module coordinator and module tutors.
Lectures/tutorials/workshops will be based on introducing key post production concepts and techniques whilst developing students’ existing knowledge with regards to the fundamentals of camera work, photography and lighting.
The module is to be delivered as a one-semester module, as this will provide students with a concentrated environment to habitually familiarize themselves with key production techniques and technical processes and procedures.

Further details relating to assessment
Directed activities: these consist of weekly tasks that must be completed and submitted for inspection at timetabled sessions each week. The assessment will be assessed on a pass/fail basis with a pass requiring at least 75% of all weekly tasks to be completed successfully. A pass will lead to the full award of 10% towards the final module mark. A fail in directed activities will contribute 0% to the final mark.
The Artefact will comprise of a short film produced to relevant specifications (individually-produced), designed to test and develop students’ skills in technique and analysis.
The Presentation will assess the student’s creativity, analysis and technical presentation on their group work project and will contain an individually produced critical appraisal of the film.
