Further details relating to assessment
Students will form and brand their own production groups. They will be given a brief from which they will design and produce a production piece of media. They must pitch their idea to a panel of appropriate professionals and only when accepted can they progress to production.
The groups must keep accurate and comprehensive records that would normally be associated with such productions (from scripts to compliance, from minutes to design roughs, from expenses to copyright) and collate this into a single portfolio.
Finally the groups will face a live audit where panel members can question the group before arriving at a team-mark (it is envisaged that each group will play their media artefact for the panel first and so a full and final mark can be given at the end of the audit. Each session to be no more than 1 hour.

The placement element is normally of 6 weeks duration and may comprise an external placement or other structured professional experience which meets the learning objectives of the module and involves an equivalent workload. In either case the placement will be the subject of explicit agreement between the student, supervisor, module co-ordinator and EPO.

Not available as a half-module.
