On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
demonstrate a basic competence in television studio operations;
Demonstrate a basic competence in location filming and basic editing
demonstrate a basic competence in scripting for TV STUDIO;
evaluate their learning in a written format
Television Studio will include a studio familiarisation exercise; introduction to the main elements of the TV studio and gallery; scripting, performance and production.
This module is taught via a series of interactive workshops which introduce students to the TV studio environment, the different roles and the practical skills involved. The module will be taught across both semester to accommodate all students on MFC programmes but students will spend one semester doing this module and one semester doing the 10-credit radio module.

Portfolio 1 will normally include a ten minute, group-producedfive-minute TV programme, individual script and an evaluative report. The detailed requirements of the Portfolios will be published in the module handbook.
