On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate systematic problem solving during the implementation of their research proposal;
2. Apply and systematically evaluate the personal research skills deployed in the conduct of the dissertation;
3. Demonstrate effective communication with their supervisor;
4. Reflect on their learning and develop recommendations for further research within their chosen field.

Dissertation supervisors encourage students to learn from the process of completing a dissertation as well as ensuring that the product is fit for purpose and delivered on time. Normal supervisory sessions encourage the recording of activities and reflection on these opportunities.
