On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 Critically evaluate the impact of mentoring on the wellbeing of clients, teams and institutions through research, case studies and their own experiences
2 Critically review the ethical debates related to interaction with clients, colleagues and institutions related to mentoring and workplace wellbeing
3 Present a critical reflection upon the benefits and challenges represented by mentoring practice
Knowledge: Impact, research related to effective practice, strategic implications of effective mentoring, planning for workplace wellbeing enhancement at a strategic level.
Reflection: Ethics related to mentoring practice
Application: Presentation that could be used with a management team to present the potential benefits of mentoring and workplace wellbeing interventions, utilizing a range of literature and research.
Learning will take place in interactive sessions incorporating theoretical input, discussion, debate, ICT research and student presentation. Students will be supported by VLE materials, constructed reading and research tasks and workshop sessions.
