On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1 Evaluate a range of literature and research related to a defined field of study at a strategic level
2 Research an aspect of their own professional practice related to strategic overview, leadership or professional practice development
3 Present the outcomes of their research at a conference or workshop event
4 Manage their own time and reflect on their development as a researcher
In this self managed, work based module students will investigate an element of their practice; gathering data, evaluating it and presenting their findings in the context of strategic leadership or development.
Students are expected to demonstrate an ability to review literature and research, analyse their reading in light of practical experiences and critically evaluate the project process. In addition, they are expected to present their findings in the public arena via a format of their choice.
This is a self-managed module with online and tutorial support.
