PPP6002 - Reflective Practice

Objectives:

On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:

1 Reflect on their own professional aspirations and how these can be attained
2 Critically evaluate key documentation and theory related to effective practice in the professions from which they come
3 Critically review professional skills, occupational standards and the skills of reflective practice expected within their role

Content:

In this module students will be expected to consider the professional skills associated with their work and how they can engage in reflection and personal, professional development. They will be expected to evaluate relevant theories, research and documentation related to good practice. They will also reflect on how they can use their project to demonstrate their ability to reflect on the strategic position of themselves and their team.

Learning and Teaching Information:

Learning will take place in interactive sessions incorporating theoretical input, discussion, debate, ICT research and student presentation. Students will be supported by VLE materials, constructed reading and research tasks and workshop sessions.
