LMCM4015 - Proposal Development

Objectives:

On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:

1 Express a critical awareness of their chosen research methodology and methods
2 Critically evaluate a range of relevant literature, research and data related to their chosen field of research
3 Create a research proposal appropriate to the development of their dissertation

Content:

In this module students will take their learning from the Research Methods for Practitioners module (LMCM 4063) in developing their own field of interest. They will engage in initial research review and critical reading of a range of relevant literature. With tutorial support, students will develop a research proposal for their dissertation.

Learning and Teaching Information:

Learning will take place in interactive sessions incorporating theoretical input, discussion, debate, ICT research and student presentation. Students will be supported by VLE materials, constructed reading and research tasks and workshop sessions.
