HIS4782 - History Professional Attachment

Objectives:

On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:

(1) Communicate their practical experience in the form of a report.
(2) Demonstrate an understanding of the aims, procedures and activities of an organisation.
(3) Put into practise, and develop in the workplace, skills gained in the academic context.

Content:

Students will be placed within an organisation for six weeks, which will permit the student to relate their academic studies to the activities of that organisation. The detailed nature of the placement will be the subject of a formal "learning agreement" between the student, the attachment provider and the College.

Learning and Teaching Information:

Learning will be supported through group lectures and individual tutorials. Tutors will normally visit the student while the student is on attachment.
